One of my favorite entertaiment news magazines describes in its online issue the possible scenarios for Jackson’s career.

#1 Jackson becomes an resident performer at a Vegas hotel

“Reps have been quoted saying Jackson would draw more than $80 million, and a long-term residency similar to Celine Dion at Caesar’s Palace is being discussed.”

#2 Jackson goes back on tour

“He is still immensely popular in Asia and Australia, and he could certainly build a career performing away from the U.S. “

Well, those two possibilities both have some advantages and disadvantages. It is indeed a quite good article, and if you are interested in this “comeback” theme, its definitly worth reading.

But don’t ask me why, I’d prefer my own idea:

# 3 The Jackson 5 Reunion

I’d get the Jackson 5 together, bringing a mixture of the old sound with some of today’s popular R&B flavor. I’d limit the appearence of Michael Jackson to ~20 minutes of the total show. His fans still see him as the “king of pop.” With his current health problems, he would certainly not be able to do a ~90 minute show which will seamlessly follow on from the success of his earlier days. If he is able to do this in a constellation world tour, then it would be appropriate to get him on a solo trip.
